Claude session and weekly limits

Check the window that is actually preventing your next session.

The short answer

Claude exposes session and weekly usage in Settings → Usage on supported paid plans. Review both before setting a reminder.

What to do next

  1. Open Settings → Usage in the account you are using.
  2. Check which usage bar is exhausted and copy its displayed recovery time.
  3. Save separate timers when the account shows more than one recovery window.
  4. After the time passes, verify the account again before beginning a long task.
The countdown on this website is your saved reminder, not a live Claude usage meter.

Choose the situation that matches

One window recovers before another

Record both displayed times. After the first one passes, check whether another restriction still blocks the task.

No recovery time is visible

Confirm your account and plan, then check official usage guidance. Do not invent a weekly reset date from the day you subscribed.

The timer ended but the task is blocked

Reopen the usage screen and compare the exact restriction with the one you saved. Use the recovery troubleshooting checklist.

Check the result

Return to the affected feature and try one appropriate request. If it works, resume gradually. If it fails, compare the new notice with the original before repeating a step.

Still blocked?

Prepare the exact error, affected feature, app or browser version, account workspace, and date with timezone. Send these only through the provider’s official support channel; omit passwords, keys and private content that is not needed.

Common questions

Does the weekly limit reset for everyone at the same time?

Use your own account’s displayed time; this site does not assume a universal weekly reset.

Can longer conversations use more allowance?

Usage depends on the work performed. Keep only the context you need and check the vendor’s current guidance.

Source & scope

Vendor documentation supports the product context. The checklist is LimitReset editorial guidance and cannot diagnose a private account.
